My people, make I yan una wetin dey happen for our Lagos! E no go sweet wetin I go tell una, but dem don close all the public parks wey Lagos State Parks and Gardens Agency (LASPARK) dey manage. Dem wan do some serious maintenance work wey go make our parks fine pass.
As dem drop am for statement wey dem send out on January 9, dem talk say make we no vex, because all the parks go dey closed from January 12 to January 31, 2026. Na because of all the people wey don waka come the festive period, LASPARK decide to carry out this upgrade. E go beta for us later, but right now, no park go dey open for us to chill.
Omo, the parks wey dey affected na big names like Ndubisi Kanu Park, Alausa JJT Park, and Dr. Finnih Abayomi Park, just to mention small. Every park wey LASPARK dey manage go dey shut down my guy. Dem wan do landscaping, repairs, and every other maintenance wey go make sure say our parks dey safe, clean, and enjoyable for everybody.
According to LASPARK, dis maintenance no be just show, but part of wetin dem dey do to make sure say we dey enjoy better green space wey go fit help our wellness and environmental sustainability. Na good thing dem dey do o!
Dem talk say once dem finish all this maintenance work, by the end of January, we go fit enter the parks again and enjoy ourselves. So, make we no rush am, e go beta soon enough, we go fit go flex again.
So for now, e be like say our parks dey enter hibernation mode. But I go keep una updated as story dey develop. Meanwhile, make we find another way to chill because the parks no go dey available. Maybe we fit gather for one corner for beer joint or watch football for TV. No wahala!
