According to Muhammad Aliyu, wey dey run things as the Public Relations Officer, dem go kick off orientation and education programmes this weekend for Abuja. Dem wan make sure say everybody wey dey plan to go Saudi Arabia for that holy pilgrimage go sabi wetin dey ground before dem embark on the journey.
The first round of dis orientation go happen on Saturday 10th and Sunday 11th January 2026, and no be small place o! Na for FCT Permanent Hajj Camp for Basan Jiwa, close to Nnamdi Azikiwe International Airport, wey dem go gather. So, if you dey among those wey dey prepare, make you no gree slack, comot that day!
He talk say dem don gather many Islamic scholars wey go help dey educate the intending pilgrims. Dem go make sure sey everything wey concern Hajj rites and new Saudi regulations wey don land go make sense to everybody. Na wetin dem dey call ‘community enlightenment’ this matter be, and e go dey conducted for seven languages! You see as dem dey try make everybody understand dem?
Aliyu no stop for there, e still talk say e get new strategies wey the Board don lay down to make sure sey pilgrims go get better education on this journey. E be like say Saudi government don drop some new rules wey go make am tough for people wey wan perform Hajj, but no worry, dem go prepare everyone well well!
He come dey advise all intending pilgrims from FCT make dem no miss any programme wey the Board dey organise, because dem go fit perform dem Hajj correct, and dem go learn well about wetin dem suppose to do.
And no forget say after the orientation, dem also get compulsory medical screening wey go start on Monday, January 12, 2026. Dem gats do am to check the health status of all intending pilgrims, because na this screening na im go make dem fit get visa to Saudi Arabia.
For dis screening matter, dem don arrange am like dis: pilgrims from Gwagwalada, Kwali, and Abaji Area Councils go run their screening on January 12, while Kuje, Bwari and Abuja Municipal Area Council go do their own on January 13. E go finally end for those wey register through Headquarters, JAIZ and Annexe on January 14, 2026. Make you dey on time o, because dem dey start screening by 8 a.m. daily!
Aliyu don say if you no attend dis screening, e fit affect your visa processing. So if you still get your application forms or international passports wey never return, abeg make you do am quick-quick so dem fit begin process your travel documents. No wait till last minute o!
