INEC Don Open Second Phase Voter Registration Sharp Sharp!

My people, hear am! INEC don finally open second phase of Continuous Voter Registration (CVR) for Ekiti State. E start today, make you no dull!

Before now, dem don close registration since December 10, to check and show provisional voters’ register. Na so people fit see their details, check wetin dey wrong, especially if dem spell name wey no dey correct.

Dr. Bunmi Omoseyindemi, wey be Resident Electoral Commissioner, talk for Ado-Ekiti say make all di stakeholders rally round. E dey call all the eligible youths wey don clock 18 to rush come register. No give yourself wahala oh, no go do double registration, because if dem catch you, wahala go dey!

As e be now, na around 2.57 million Nigerians don complete their voter registration from di 9.89 million wey start di process during di first phase. Victoria Eta-Messi, wey dey handle voter education for INEC, confirm say 9,891,801 Nigerians don start di online registration, but only 2,572,054 don complete am. Na wetin una fit call heavy numbers!

Osun State dey carry di crown for highest new voters with 200,251 registrations, followed closely by Kano with 151,604. E fit surprise you say Ekiti dey lag behind with just 14,691 registrations. Abia dey follow am closely with 15,263.

Phase one of di registration start for August 18, 2025, and finish for December 10. As dem sabi am, dem go set display for di preliminary voters’ register from December 15 to 21, where citizens go fit make claims or object to any name wey no suppose dey there.

Dem go do di display for di local government offices wey dey conduct di CVR exercise. All citizens wey get voter registration or update dey encouraged to check dia details. Make sure say no una paddy dey there wey no suppose there.

Wait oo! Make you no forget, why we dey do all dis? To make sure say di integrity of our voters’ register dey intact. Na im ensure say our democracy dey shine well well.

Oh, and make I also remind you, di CVR for Anambra State and FCT still dey on hold because of some ongoing electoral matters. New dates for dem go dropp soon. So, mark your calendars and prepare to take action!
