Omo, na serious matter wey dey ground for Nigeria judiciary o! 34 lawyers wey dem don nominate to become judges for Federal High Court no fit pass integrity test! E be like say dem wan clean house well well under Chief Justice Kudirat Kekere-Ekun.

For na side Abuja, National Judicial Council (NJC) release statement wey show say only 28 candidates wey dey serious pass integrity screening after dem don go through public wahala. E no be small thing, because dem carry 62 lawyers come before dem go after the integrity test, only for 34 of dem to waka come out for the screening because of wahala wey people don talk about dem.

Na during the screening, dem allow the public to drop comments, and wetin dem find no sweet at all. One of the nominees wey dem call Chief Superintendent of Police even get allegations wey say she collect bribes, and na that one too show say she no get level to sit down for judge bench.

The NJC release say last September, dem put the names of all nominees out there, make people fit talk how dem feel about the people wey dem dey consider for judicial appointment.

According to the report, one lawyer don submit petition wey claim say CSP carry one million naira bribe collect for matter wey she dey handle. Hmmm, corruption don show face for judiciary as usual, but thank God say this process dey try check am!

At the end of the day, 28 nominees wey no get any bad report go face the NJC panel for interview next month. Kemi Ogedegbe, wey be NJC Director of Information, talk say dem go meet for January 13 and 14 to discuss wetin happen for the selection process. She assure everybody say na only those wey dey worthy will make am true! No more jaga-jaga!
