For statement wey him Special Adviser on Information and Strategy, Bayo Onanuga talk, Tinubu praise Federal Ministry of Finance, Ministry of Works, and the Debt Management Office wey work hand in hand to secure this funding. Tinubu come yan say dis financing na clear sign sey him government dey serious to find better ways to fund important national projects. According to am, dis Lagos-Calabar Coastal Highway na major paddy for their economic and infrastructure agenda.

Dis project wey Phase 1, Section 2 dey cover about 55.7 kilometres, go connect Eleko for Lekki to Ode-Omi. E sabi say dis section go help boost economic corridors, make logistics better, plus improve trade connections nationwide.

No forget say dem don secure $747 million before for Phase 1, Section 1, wey make dis whole project dey interesting to international investors. First Abu Dhabi Bank (FAB) dey run di funding package, plus support from Islamic Corporation for the Insurance of Investment and Export Credit (ICIEC) too. This na ICIEC first transaction for Nigeria since dem don change some levels for law and structure.
