Dem talk say Kum born on 16th October, 1970, for Minna, Niger State. Him come from Langtang North Local Government Area of Plateau State. He study Animal Production for University of Agriculture, Makurdi, where he bag Bachelor of Agriculture degree in 1992. Later, he obtain Post Graduate Diploma in Education from National Open University of Nigeria in 2025. Right now, he dey complete master’s degree in Educational Administration and Planning.
Kum join WAEC on 17th July, 1998, as Assistant Registrar II. He climb rank reach Senior Deputy Registrar in 2024. Before dis new appointment, he serve as Deputy Registrar for di Head of National Office’s office. WAEC describe am as seasoned Test Developer, Administrator, and Executive wey sabi test development, examination security, test administration, and management of branch and zonal offices.

Dem talk say Dangut born on October 2, 1967. He complete him basic education and continue him studies. He earn Bachelor of Agriculture (Animal Production) in 1991, Master of Science (Animal Science) in 1994, Doctor of Philosophy (Animal Science) in 2017, and Master of Education (Administration and Planning) in 2020. Him professional career for education begin in 1994, when he take work with St. Louis College, Jos, where he serve as examiner with WAEC. After that, he join WAEC in 1998.
As astute Test Developer and Administrator, Dangut serve for different capacities. He be Assistant Registrar/Subject Officer, Test Development Division, WAEC, Ogba, Lagos, from July 1998 to January 2005. He later be Senior Assistant Registrar/Head of Examinations Security and Deputy to Branch Controller, Uyo Branch Office, from January 2005 to January 2008. He do same role for Bauchi Branch Office from January 2008 to December 2011. He come be Senior Assistant Registrar/Branch Controller, Yola Branch Office, from December 2011 to January 2019. From January 2019 to October 2020, he be Deputy Registrar/Controller, Post Examinations Department. From October 2020 to August 2023, he be Deputy Registrar/Zonal Coordinator, Ikeja Zonal Office. From August 2023 to October 2023, he be Deputy Registrar for HNO’s Office.
Dem appoint Dangut as head of national office of WAEC, Nigeria, on October 2, 2023. He hold dat position until he assume office as 14th registrar to council on October 1, 2026. He also represent Council for education policy forums, including Joint Consultative Committee on Education and National Council on Education.
During him tenure as Head of National Office, he champion innovations to strengthen examination delivery, security, integrity, and efficiency. These include rolling out Computer-Based WASSCE, serialising question papers, and introducing Digital Electronic Marking System. He also oversee tools and services like Digital Certificate Portal, WAEC E-Study Platform, Digital Records Archive, and Systems for Examination Logistics, Timetable Management, and Monitoring Examiners’ Attendance. Dangut na astute scholar with publications for international and national journals. He don also present numerous keynote and other papers for international and national conferences/fora. He presently be Regional Representative of West African Sub-region on Executive Board of Association for Educational Assessment in Africa (AEAA). Dr. Dangut like swimming, tennis, farming, and spending time with him lovely wife and children. He be Fellow of Science Teachers Association of Nigeria (STAN) and active member of Nigeria Institute of Management (NIM).
