Wike Yarn Say ADC No Go Win Rivers, Result Go Still Written

Minister of Federal Capital Territory and Leader of Rainbow Coalition, Nyesom Wike, don yarn say African Democratic Congress, ADC, no go win Rivers State for the general elections wey dey come.

Wike tok say dem go write result of di poll as dem always dey do, especially for 2011 when e favour former Minister of Transportation and now Vice Presidential Candidate of ADC, Chibuike Amaechi.

He also urge people of Ekpeye for Ahoada East and West Local Government Areas of di state say make dem look di past performance of those wey dey seek high political offices well well, and insist say decisions for next elections must stand on verifiable facts, no be propaganda.

Wike talk dis one on Saturday when e dey address gathering wey dem organise under umbrella of Uzugbani Ekpeye for Ahoada.

Di minister note say Amaechi always dey link him failure to win elections for di state since 2011 to election result writing, and note say him fears go still repeat for 2027.

He talk say: ‘I was di DG of di campaign for 2011, because for 2007, he no dey here. He dey Ghana, while we dey fight for him to become governor.’

‘So, I no want talk about that because he no dey on di ballot, but we fight for him to become governor. But make we talk about di one wey he dey on di ballot, 2011, I be di DG of di campaign, right? Now, he talk say we never win elections, when we no dey write results, which mean say for 2011, we write results.’

‘Now, since I leave him for 2011, after 2011, mention one election wey he ever win. Make I also talk dis one. He talk say he be governor for 2015, according to him, I write di results while he be governor, he no fit put him successor, right? So, he talk say, Oh, PDP be president then, fine.’

‘For 2019, who be with di president? And he be minister, and he be di DG of Buhari campaign, no be so? He no get 10% of di results. Fine, 2019 result also written. For 2023, he no support Tinubu, he support Atiku, right? And he dey government too, and he come with battalions of soldiers, no be so? Yes. Yet, he no win, so di result also written.’

‘So, from 2011, when he become second time governor, down to now, di result don dey written, then make he forget it. Di result go always dey written; he no go win again. He don tell him supporters say I go win, dem no go, na always di excuse he dey use.’

He remind di audience say Ekpeye ethnic nationality be one of di largest ethnic groups for Rivers State, and e occupy central position for affairs of both di state and di nation, so e must weigh every political choice with interest of him people for mind.
