Borno State Governor, Prof Babagana Umara Zulum, don dey make sure say civil servants for the state go receive the new national minimum wage dis October. Him direct dis during a meeting with the State Minimum Wage Implementation Committee wey hold for Maiduguri on Monday at the Council Chambers of the Governor’s Office in the Government House.
Aside from the minimum wage, Governor Zulum also approve the release of N3 billion to pay entitlements to families of civil servants wey die for Borno State. Him make a symbolic cheque presentation to the Nigerian Union of Pensioners to show him commitment.
Zulum also promise to clear the backlog of gratuities owed by the state government and ensure an upward review of monthly payments of pensions in the state. Dis move dey show him dedication to the welfare of civil servants and their families.
