Wike dey Cause Wahala for Rivers State, Ihunwo Tell Tinubu to Sack Am

Chijioke Ihunwo, wey be the newly elected Chairman of Obio-Akpor Local Government Area in Rivers State, don call on President Bola Ahmed Tinubu to sack Nyesom Wike as the Minister of the Federal Capital Territory (FCT). Ihunwo say Wike no deserve to be in the presidential cabinet because him dey disrupt Rivers State elections and threaten democracy in Nigeria.

Ihunwo make dis call during an interview with ARISE NEWS on Tuesday, where him also talk about the ongoing violence in Rivers State after the local government elections. Three council secretariats don burn down, and Ihunwo blame Wike for the crisis. Him say, “Wike cannot own Rivers State, Rivers State is too big for him to hold.” Ihunwo also order that Wike’s name be removed from a building in the council secretariat and renamed “Obi Wali House”.

Governor Siminalayi Fubara of Rivers State also join voice to tell Wike to let go of his grip on the state. Fubara say him don kneel down to beg Wike many times to allow peace to reign in the state. Him talk about dis on Channels Television’s Politics Today programme on Monday, urging Wike to stop causing trouble in Rivers State.

The tension between Wike and Fubara dey cause serious violence in Rivers State, especially after the local government elections. Youths from both sides don clash, leading to the death of some people and destruction of properties. Ihunwo and Fubara dey call for peace and stability in the state, but Wike’s actions dey make things worse.
