Police for North Yorkshire dey continue their search for Victoria Taylor, a 34-year-old nurse and mother of one, wey vanish six days ago. According to reports, Victoria Taylor was last seen at her home in Malton, North Yorkshire, at 9am on Monday. Later dat day, around 11:35am, she was spotted on CCTV at a BP garage on Welham Road in the Norton area of Malton.
Her sisters, Emma and Heidi, don express how dem feel “sick, distraught and lost” since her disappearance. Dem thank all the emergency services and volunteers who have been helping in the search. Dem also warn people not to put themselves at risk while searching near the river, especially because of the challenging water conditions due to recent weather.
Victoria Taylor’s personal belongings were found near the River Derwent, and extensive searches have been carried out by officers and drones, including divers. Police have reviewed hours of CCTV footage from around Malton where she was last seen. She is described as white, about 5ft 6in tall, wearing blue jeans, a black Adidas original puffer jacket with white stripes, a grey Jack Wills hooded jumper, and carrying a salmon/pink Vans backpack.
Inspector Martin Dennison say police are very concerned about Victoria’s whereabouts and urge the public to be cautious if looking for her near the river. He remind people that police officers have specialist training and equipment for various terrains.
The local community in Malton has been very supportive, putting up posters and forming a group to search the riverbanks. A friend of Victoria Taylor, Charlotte Cundill, describe her as a caring woman, brilliant nurse, mum, and girlfriend. She set up a Facebook page to appeal for information and community support.
