US dey Send THAAD Anti-Missile System to Israel

The United States don announce say dem go deploy one advanced anti-missile system, known as Terminal High-Altitude Area Defense (THAAD), to Israel. Dis decision come from President Joe Biden’s administration, as dem continue to show strong support for one of their top allies, especially with de rising tensions with Iran.

Defence Secretary Lloyd Austin, under de direction of President Biden, authorise de deployment of de THAAD battery and de associated US military personnel. Dis move aim to strengthen Israel’s air defences after Iran’s recent attacks on Israel on April 13 and October 1, according to Pentagon press secretary Maj. Gen. Pat Ryder.

De THAAD system go require around 100 US troops to operate, and it includes six truck-mounted launchers with eight interceptors on each launcher, plus a powerful radar system. Dis system more advanced than de Patriot systems and de Iron Dome defense system already in use.

Iran react to dis news by warning de US to keep their military forces out of Israel. Iran’s Foreign Minister Abbas Araghchi post on social media say dat any deployment of THAAD to Israel would put US troops at risk and dat Iran no get red lines in defending their people and interests.

Dis deployment mark de first operational deployment of THAAD to Israel, though de system was previously deployed there in 2019 for a military exercise.
