The fuel price hike don increase transport fares, and many people no fit afford to travel again. Commuters dey complain say dem no fit pay the new fares, and transporters dey struggle to maintain their businesses.
The situation worse because fuel prices impact every aspect of life. From households to hospitals, everybody dey feel the pain. People dey hope say the government go take decisive action to reduce the cost of fuel for the common people.
Rev Israel Akanji, the President of the Nigerian Baptist Convention, recently make a call to the Federal Government to reduce fuel prices. He talk say the government need to implement policies wey go alleviate the burden on the masses.
Akanji also talk about the need to repair Nigeria’s refineries and address the deeper issues affecting the country’s oil sector. He warn those in power to stop exploiting the situation for personal gain and do what is best for all people.
