Three Journalists Die, One Missing After Kidnap in Anambra

Tragedy don hit di journalism community in Nigeria as gunmen kidnap and kill three members of a SuperSport crew in Anambra State. Di incident happen when di crew dey on their way to Uyo to broadcast a football match for di 2025 African Cup of Nations qualifiers.

According to reports, di gunmen ambush di crew, leading to di death of three people. One person is still missing, while eight others were eventually rescued, and two managed to escape on their own.

Di Nigeria Football Federation (NFF) don express deep sorrow and extend condolences to di families of di slain journalists. Di NFF describe di incident as unfortunate and tragic, and dem call for immediate action to ensure di safety of journalists in Nigeria.

Dis incident raise serious concerns about di safety and security of journalists and media personnel in Nigeria, especially in regions prone to violence and kidnapping.
