On Tuesday night, a devastating petrol tanker explosion in Majia town, Taura Local Government Area of Jigawa State, has left at least 105 people dead and 55 others injured. The tragedy occurred when the tanker driver lost control of the vehicle near Khadija University, causing the tanker to overturn and eventually explode.
According to the Police Spokesperson in Jigawa, Shi’isu Adam, the incident happened around 11:30 p.m. when the driver, who was traveling from Kano to Nguru in Yobe State, lost control of the tanker.
