Rumuewhara community for Port Harcourt, Rivers State, dey cry out over de bad condition of their road. Residents of de area say de road don dey in dis state for many years now, and it dey cause them plenty problems.
According to one of de residents, Mr. John Okoro, de road dey so bad that it dey difficult for people to pass through, especially during de rainy season. “De road dey like river,” he say. “We no fit drive or walk through am without getting wet or stuck.”
Another resident, Mrs. Nneoma Nwosu, talk about how de bad road dey affect their businesses. “Many of us dey sell goods by de roadside, but because de road dey bad, customers no dey come again. We dey suffer because of dis road,” she explain.
De community leaders don appeal to de state government to come and fix de road. “We dey beg Governor Siminalayi Fubara to help us fix dis road. We know say he care about his people, and we believe he go do something about am,” say de community chairman, Chief Emmanuel Amadi.
As de situation dey, residents of Rumuewhara continue to suffer de consequences of de bad road. Dem hope say de government go act fast to address dis issue.
