Reps Pass Bill to Allow FRSC Officers Carry Guns for Second Reading

Naija lawmakers for the House of Representatives don pass one bill wey go allow Federal Road Safety Corps (FRSC) officers carry guns for their work. This bill scale second reading on Thursday, October 10, 2024.

The bill, wey Olaide Lateef Muhammed from Oyo State sponsor, seek to establish Road Safety Special Armed Squad. This squad go help FRSC officers to better protect themselves and other road users from armed attacks and other dangers on the road.

According to the bill, FRSC officers wey reach the rank of Deputy Corps Marshal go enjoy benefits attached to that grade. This move dey aimed at boosting the morale and efficiency of FRSC officers as they perform their duties.
