Protest Go Burst National Assembly As Tinubu Dey Gather Lawmakers

Abuja, Nigeria – Tension dey rise for Abuja as Take It Back Movement don set to hold protest for National Assembly today wey be June 12, Democracy Day. Dem wan show government say, enough is enough for the wahala wey dey face Nigerians under President Bola Tinubu. As Tinubu dey prepare to talk to lawmakers for the joint session, e fit turn to serious clash between protesters and police.

Di protest wey go happen across 20 locations for di country no be small matter. Take It Back Movement, wey na civil society group, don confirm say dem wan challenge di government over di hardship demy don face for two years. Dem no dey play oh, as dem plan to rally against Tinubu’s reforms wey dey make life hard for everybody.

According to Juwon Sanyaolu, di National Coordinator of di movement, di wahala wey dey under Tinubu reign go give reason to protest. E talk say, “Nigerians no get anything to lose. We don dey suffer. As e be now, na we go come out tomorrow (today) to demand change. Dem no fit scare us; we dey ready to protest our rights.”

Security agencies no dey sleep as dem don tighten security for everywhere. Police and other security agents don prepare for potential clashes. Di police even talk say, “If anybody wan disturb peace for Democracy Day, dem go face di full wrath of di law.” E sure say dem dey ready to chop any trouble.

For inside Lagos, dem don plan to protest for four locations. Meanwhile, dem dey expect thousands of people from different parts of di country to show up. “We no go allow anybody to intimidate us. Di only way to stop dis suffering na to come out together to show dem we dey serious,” Sanyaolu continue.

Dr. Dele Alake, Minister of Solid Minerals Development, no go happy if e shear di attention of di media at di time wey Tinubu dey try to rally support. Meanwhile, di Nigerian Bar Association don align with di protest by dey call for police to respect di rights of di protesters. “Dem must protect di people,” dem talk.

As di protest dey approach, police officers don dey prepare their strategies. “No be say we no understand say di protesters get right, but e must happen orderly,” said, Muyiwa Adejobi, di police spokesman.
