Lagos, Nigeria – Two of Nigeria’s loudest personalities, Habib Okikiola (we sabi am as Portable) and Martins Otse (the one wey dey call himself Very Dark Man, or VDM), don start one wahala wey no go end anytime soon. Dis fight don dey brew since October 2024, but na now e dey boil over like potted stew for market day.
It all start when VDM yarn some hot gist for social media, accusing Portable of beating one man for toilet during Felabration. E even post video wey show am demanding police go find Portable for wetin he call violent behavior. Portable no take am lightly o, he don dey fire back since. (Shey you know say dis kind fight no fit use sugar sweeten ehn?)
Recently, na Portable don reignite di drama, calling VDM out for chasing clout with Mobhad’s case. VDM no waste time. E release old video wey show Portable dey collect beats wen dem accuse am of stealing phone and keke. Talk about adding more fuel to di fire!
But Portable, being di king of carrying matter for head, don talk say people wey dey shout say he steal na dem dey give am di phone in di first place. You know how e be for dis Naija streets, nobody wan take responsibility. Dis matter don touch ground now as VDM enter studio to drop diss track wey e call ‘Ole,’ produced by Jimoh Waxiu and featuring up-and-coming artist MonstarBoi.
VDM caption am on Instagram say, “Nobody will be spared. Who dey ground no dey fear to fall, we go lower till we find oil.” Na serious talk! Di song dey land with audio from di video wey dey accuse Portable of stealing keke, and believe me, dis one na banger wey don get everybody talking.
VDM dey take jabs at Portable, calling am Ika of stealing, plus saying him fail WAEC like some notorious governor. “You tiff phone (Ole). You tiff keke (Ole). Dem beat you (Ole),” na wetin e dey sing. If you think say na joke, just check di kind response wey Portable make.
True to form, our guy Portable no con carry last. E release im own diss track wey dey question VDM’s sexuality and dey talk about how Don Jazzy give am money. “You dey dodi abi you no dey dodi? No bi your papa money,” Portable dey shout for im own track. E even show off im car keys and phones to prove say e no dey steal, talk about flexing!
As di quarrel dey grow, one thing we sabi be say both tracks dey trend like madness online, with fans dey pick sides. E fit happen say we dey see history repeat itself like Tupac and Biggie drama, but this time, no body count (we don see enough of dat for Naija!). E go just be like Naija entertainment dey give us more to gists and laughter!
