Tun bayyana cewa, tsakanin shekarar 2021 da kwata na farko na shekarar 2024, akwai kararraki 2,421 na korafe-korafe da aka kai wa jami’an ‘yan sandan Nijeriya. Wannan bayani ya fito daga hukumomin gwamnati da ke karba korafe-korafe, ciki har da Ma’aikatar Harkokin ‘Yan Sanda, Hukumar Kare Haƙƙin Dan Adam ta Kasa, Unit na Amsa Korafe-korafe na ‘Yan Sanda, da Hukumar Korafe-korafe ta Jama’a.
Korafe-korafen sun hada da matsalolin kama su tashin hankali, cin hanci da rashawa, kama ba da doka, da kisan kai. Duk da haka, adadin korafe-korafen na iya zama mafi girma, saboda wasu korafe-korafe ba a rahoto su ba.
Dangane da bayanan da aka fitar, a kwata na farko na shekarar 2024, Hukumar Korafe-korafe ta Jama’a (PCC) ta samu korafe-korafe 459 daga jama’a kan jami’an ‘yan sanda. A shekarar 2022, Unit na Amsa Korafe-korafe (CRU) ta yi rikodin korafe-korafe 287 na rashin aikin kwarai.
Ma’aikatar Harkokin ‘Yan Sanda ta kuma shawarci korafe-korafe 431 tsakanin Yuli da Satumba na shekarar 2022, wanda hakan ya kai ga aikata ayyukan shari’a kan jami’ai 81, wanda hakan ya kai ga korar da jami’ai bakwai. A shekarar 2021, CRU ta yi rikodin korafe-korafe 1,244 a fadin kasar.
Komanda ta ‘Yan Sandan Jihar Legas ta samu mafi yawan korafe-korafe da 327, sannan ta bi ta Babban Birnin Tarayya da korafe-korafe 210. A lokacin da aka yi rikodin, akwai jami’ai 45 da aka korar saboda manyan laifuka, ciki har da kisan kai ba da doka, cin hanci da rashawa, da tashin hankali.
A ranar Juma’a, jami’ai uku aka korar saboda zargin kashe wani dan adam mai suna Qoyum Ishola a jihar Kwara.
Direktan Gudanarwa na Cibiyar Shawarwari da Kula da Doka da Adalci, Okechukwu Nwanguma, ya bayyana cewa, babu sauyi da aka samu ba tare da alkawarin gwamnati da kafa majalisar shari’a don binciken tashin hankali na ‘yan sanda. Ya ce, “Rashin SARS, wanda shine daya daga cikin bukatun zanga-zangar, bai kawar da tashin hankali na ‘yan sanda ba. A maimakon haka, sashen mai laifi ya ci gaba da aikatawa da ake zargi, ciki har da kama ba da doka, azabtarwa, da kisan kai ba da doka.”
