PDP: Wahala Don Dey Over 2027 Zoning Matter!

Abuja, Nigeria – Since last week, wahala no dey finish for the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP). As dem gather for 102nd NEC meeting, dem don zoned 2027 presidential ticket to South, but e no go down well with everybody. Some members dey vex, dem dey call am ‘blatant disregard’ for fairness. Wetin really dey happen?

All dis palava dey happen because PDP no fit manage their internal crisis well agin. Crisis suppose be normal for politics, but e be like say PDP dey carry wahala for head pass others. Meanwhile, All Progressives Congress (APC) dey chill, dey play dem own politics, like say dem no get wahala for person matter. E strong as dem get President wey sabi how to handle matter.

Meanwhile, na former Vice President Atiku Abubakar and im African Democratic Congress (ADC) crew dey try hold things down, but old members no wan gree, dem dey resist new comers. E be like phenomena dey fall on dem. Even Labour Party (LP) dey look for political babies to carry on top dem platform after elections. Na wah!

Now, let’s focus on how 2027 wahala dey unfold. During the NEC meeting, na Publicity Secretary, Debo Ologunagba, wey come announce zoning. He say, “Having retained the position of National Chairman in the North, the presidential ticket… is hereby zoned to the Southern region.” As you fit imagine, the news no sit well with some factions, led by the fierce Nyesom Wike (that guy never carry placard this time!).

Former Benue State Governor, Sam Ortom, don join the Wike crew to shout say no be micro-zoning wey dem go use do everything. Dem want peace but no be by force. E be like say differents camps dey form within the party, and the stronghold with the likes of Wike dey feel sidelined.

How the whole zoning matter go fit dey? People dey talk say e go bring unity, while others dey argue say e no go fit answer question of fairness. Even PDP no really stick to this zoning matter for 26 years! Like say all dis speeches na just for show.

Time to shake things up. We no fit jive about give interior eye-popping tidings. Locals from North Central dey protest, dey shout say e no gree for their own chance. Many fit dey feel say dis zoning na sabotage from inside. This group of aggrieved supporters don declare say dem dey back Dr. Gbenga Olawepo-Hashim for 2027, because dem believe sey he go fit turn things around. Dem don sweet mouth am, how he fit lead Nigeria to better future.

But even dis new energy no dey stop PDP wahala, as Olawepo don talk say dis so-called zoning na ‘illegal’ arrangement wey no follow any clear law. According to him, all dis division no dey help the party further. Na wetin remain? Zoning dey inside Nigeria’s political history, but the debate dey make dem like dey draw some line with chalk.

With so much political shuffling, dis wahala self don dey show how each faction get their own agenda. PDP dey need serious talk if e wan move forward. While party dey find unity, dem wan make sure say every zone get fair chance to shine.

But like they talk, “elephant don enter room,” wey no go fit ignore politics wey dey involve who go lead the country the right way, and at the same time, make dem forget where dem come from. Who know wetin go happen before the presidential election? We dey watch!
