PDP, one of Nigeria‘s major political parties, dey face serious internal crisis, and former Ekiti State Governor, Ayodele Fayose, no dey hide his feelings about am. Fayose, who still dey claim he no plan to leave PDP, say the whole drama dey become exciting, and he dey watch to see how it go end.
Fayose make dis comment on his X account after a faction of PDP National Working Committee (NWC) suspend the acting National Chairman, Umar Damagum, and National Secretary, Samuel Anyanwu, for alleged disloyalty to the party. He say, “PDP: It is becoming such an exciting drama. Let’s siddon dey look and see how it ends.”
The crisis inside PDP no be small thing, as another faction of NWC also suspend the National Publicity Secretary, Debo Ologunagba, and the National Legal Adviser, Kamaldeen Ajibade, for the same reason of disloyalty. But in a quick response, Ologunagba announce the suspension of Damagum and Anyanwu, accusing them of anti-party activities.
Ologunagba statement say the NWC condemn the actions of Damagum and Anyanwu, especially their letter to the Court of Appeal against the party’s position in a case involving former Rivers State House of Assembly members who decamped to APC. The NWC refer them to the National Disciplinary Committee for further action and suspend them from all party activities pending investigation.
