The Board of Trustees (BoT) of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) has urged all party members to submit themselves to the disciplinary and reconciliation committees when called upon. This directive comes as part of the party’s efforts to address internal conflicts and maintain unity within the party.
According to reports, the PDP BoT, led by Senator Adolphus Wabara, emphasized the importance of cooperation with these committees to resolve ongoing issues and prevent further divisions. The BoT has been working to stabilize the party and ensure that all members adhere to the party’s rules and regulations.
The call for an urgent National Executive Committee (NEC) meeting was also reiterated by the BoT, with the aim of addressing the party’s crisis and implementing the recommendations of the reconciliation committee. This move is seen as a step towards healing the rifts within the party and strengthening its internal structures.
Governor Seyi Makinde of Oyo State has also echoed this sentiment, urging the PDP to implement the recommendations of the reconciliation committee. This collective effort is aimed at restoring harmony and ensuring the party’s readiness for future political challenges.
The PDP BoT’s appeal is crucial at this time, especially given the recent clashes and disagreements within the party, such as the stalemate in the inspection of electoral materials in Edo State. By submitting to these committees, members are expected to contribute to the party’s overall stability and growth.
