Osun State Governor, Ademola Adeleke, don declare Monday, October 7, 2024, as public holiday for all teachers for both public and private schools inside Osun State. This declaration dey in line with the celebration of 2024 World Teachers Day.
According to Commissioner for Information and Public Enlightenment, Kolapo Alimi, the holiday na to recognize and celebrate the invaluable contributions of teachers to the growth of education sector in Osun, Nigeria, and worldwide.
Governor Adeleke talk say, ‘While it gladdens my heart and that of my administration to declare tomorrow as a public holiday throughout Osun State, I admonish all teachers to use this one-day public holiday to reflect on the past, present, and future development of the state in the education sector.’
Adeleke also assure teachers that his administration go continue to do everything possible to make them happy and fulfilled as purveyors of knowledge in Osun State.
This move show say Osun State government dey value the hard work and dedication of teachers, and dem want to give dem a day to rest and celebrate their contributions.
