Ooni of Ife, Oba Adeyeye Enitan Ogunwusi, has called on the Federal Government to embark on a holistic review of Nigeria‘s educational policies. This call was made during the maiden and combined convocation ceremonies of Ojaja University, which he owns, in Eyenkorin.
At the event, the Vice-Chancellor of Ojaja University, Professor Jeleel Ojuade, announced that a total of 183 graduands from various faculties were conferred degrees. The university currently runs 13 fully accredited courses across different faculties.
The Ooni of Ife emphasized the need for a comprehensive review to ensure that the education system is aligned with the current needs of the country and the global community. He praised the commitment and vision behind the establishment of Ojaja University, which aims to provide quality education to Nigerian students.
The convocation ceremony was also attended by other notable figures, including the Sultan of Sokoto, Alh Sa’ad Abubakar III, who was the Royal Father of the Day. The Sultan joined in calling for government assistance and support for private universities in Nigeria.
