Omoyele Sowore vs Tinubu: DSS Don Drop Charge For Court!

Abuja, Nigeria – The drama don unfold as Department of State Services (DSS) don file five-count charge against former presidential candidate, Omoyele Sowore, plus social media titans X Corp and Meta. Na wetin we go call ‘social media wahala’ take place as dem accuse Sowore of posting things wey no sweet President Bola Tinubu.

This legal wahala happen on top say Sowore refuse to delete some tweets wey dem say dey critical of Tinubu. Na on September 16, 2025, the DSS carry the case go Federal High Court for Abuja. The case na official action wey M.B. Abubakar, wey be Director of Public Prosecutions, lead with plenty other lawyers. E be like say dem don gather full squad to fight this case!

Sowore, the activist wey no dey fear, confirm the matter for his Facebook, he even call Tinubu a “criminal”. Na dis matter wey make DSS vex and file charge. He don declare say, “I no go delete any tweet o, abeg thank you, X!” (Na wah, no only stubbornness dem fit win against this guy).

For the gist, Sowore zazzy say DSS dey try create new law wey fit silence am. E talk say, “It dey hard to believe say any sensible person dey for these offices wey suppose make Nigeria work.” (If we fit laugh small, we go say ‘who dey for there’?).

Now, Sowore don also file counter case to stop Facebook and Twitter from deleting his posts. Im lawyer, Tope Temokun say dem dey fight for free speech. Na wetin dem go do if dem allow government control wetin we fit talk online? Na big wahala, wey make sense on top this one.

The accusations wey Sowore face be plenty: from tweets wey dem say fit cause wahala to publishing ‘defamatory material’. All these for just calling a spade a spade unjustly. Na serious matter, wey fit make anybody wey dey follow am laugh or cry.
