This launch is part of OKX’s broader strategy to enter new markets globally, following recent entries into Brazil, Türkiye, Australia, and the Netherlands in the first half of 2024.
The VARA license is crucial as it ensures that OKX operates within the regulatory framework set by the Virtual Assets Regulatory Authority (VARA) in Dubai. This compliance is essential for building trust among retail and institutional investors in the UAE.
With this launch, UAE residents can now use OKX for spot and other cryptocurrency trading services, further expanding the crypto ecosystem in the region.
