According to Muyiwa Adejobi, the Force Public Relations Officer, Muhammed don dey wanted since dem issue INTERPOL Red Notice after one Abuja businessman report say dem don defraud am. Na so police begin serious investigation to find am.
The case begin for July 2023, when the businessman agree with Muhammed wey pose as shipping agent to ship ten high-end vehicles from UAE to Nigeria. Adejobi talk say, ‘Muhammed tell the complainant say e fit do everything as proper shipping agent, but when dem pay am $307,500, he run away with the money.’
Police wan sponsor investigation show say Muhammed use third-party account for FCMB bank, wey dey inside Kano, operated by one Anas Usaini, to receive the money. Na so dem begin trace the funds go different channels for Dubai as part of money laundering parade.
“After collecting the money, e give the complainant one forged bill of lading and disappear,” Adejobi continue. “We launch international manhunt to catch am before Dubai police finally catch am.”
