But here be di twist: Matty’s real name no be Matlock; she be Madeline Kingston, and she be using di famous name to hide her identity.
Di series also feature Jason Ritter and Skye P. Marshall as Olympia and Julian, a divorced couple who still work together at di law firm. Dey constantly bicker, and Matty’s presence add more layers to their complicated relationship. Di show also explore di personal life of Matty, including her wealthy husband, Edwin, and her grandson, Alfie, whom she and her husband dey raise.
Reviewers say di new ‘Matlock’ have di potential to stand out, especially with Kathy Bates’ performance. However, di episodic cases need to be more compelling and fun, rather than just ordinary disputes.
