Nigerian Education Loan Fund (NELFUND) ta sanar da cewa ta rasidi lamuni mai darajar N10 biliyan ga dalibai, tare da karbau da aka samu daga fiye da 350,000 na masu neman lamuni.
Manajan Darakta na NELFUND, Akintunde Sawyerr, ya bayyana haka a ranar Laraba a wajen taron da ya yi da Kwamitin Majalisar Wakilai kan Lamuni ga Dalibai, Scholarships, da Kudirat Financin Ilimi a Cibiyar Majalisar Tarayya, Abuja.
Sawyerr ya kuma bayyana cewa shirin lamunin ya hada kowa, bai wa kowa damar samun ilimi ba tare da la’akari da wurin da asalinsa ba.
Ya kuma nuna cewa an yi kokari na yada shirin lamunin zuwa yankunan da aka yi wa kasa, musamman yankin Kudu-Maso Gabas, inda aka samu karuwar masu neman lamuni bayan aikin wayar da kan jama’a.
Sawyerr ya kuma yi nuni da mahimmancin samar da damar samun ilimi ga dukkan, musamman ga ‘yan mata da dalibai masu nakasa, ganin tasirin da zai yi kan tsaro da ci gaban Nijeriya a dogon zango.
Aikace-aikace na shirin lamunin suna karuwa da matsakaicin adadin 1,000 kowace rana, tare da alkawarin rasida N90 biliyan a cikin kudaden malanta da kudaden agaji.
Sawyerr ya yaba da shirin lamunin a matsayin madadin muhimmi daga shirin Renewed Hope Agenda na Shugaba Bola Tinubu, wanda ba kawai ya mayar da hankali kan samar da agaji a lokacin tattalin arziki mai tsauri ba, har ma da kirkirar ci gaba da tsaro a dogon zango.
Kadai na Kwamitin, Gboyega Isiaka, ya yaba da NELFUND a matsayin wata hukuma muhimmiyar da ke ba da damar samun ilimi ga matasan Nijeriya, sannan ya kuma nuna bukatar amincewa da shafafafiya a gudanar da shirin.
Isiaka ya kuma sake nuna imanin kwamitin na cewa zai tabbatar da cewa shirin ya kasance cikin gudanarwa mai kyau, sannan hukumar ta kai ga burinta a shekarun da za su zo.
