Senaator Ali Ndume, wey dey represent Borno South, don warn say some advisers to President Bola Tinubu dey push policies wey dey cause hardship for Nigerians. Ndume talk dis on Friday, October 11, when he release statement for Abuja.
According to Ndume, di rising prices of fuel, food, and essential goods don make life very difficult for many Nigerians. He claim say these bad advisers dey advocate for harsh reforms and ineffective policies instead of focusing on controlling inflation and stabilising di exchange rate.
“Those who are bent on making di President look bad will stop at nothing in inflicting pain on Nigerians through di so-called reforms until things get out of hand, and di blame will be on President Tinubu,” Ndume say.
He appeal to President Tinubu to address di suffering caused by hyperinflation, which don worsen with frequent price hikes of essential goods and services. Ndume note say many families in Borno State no fit feed again, and di untold hardship caused by these frequent price increases be unimaginable.
“Farmers no fit move their products because of di high cost of transportation. Those who manage to transport goods pass di costs onto consumers, making food items too expensive. People no fit even afford to travel again. For instance, traveling by road from Abuja to Maiduguri now be fortune. How many people fit afford dat?” Ndume ask.
Ndume emphasize say President Tinubu mean well for Nigerians but must not allow a few bad advisers to damage di country’s stability. “That’s why I’m begging him to do something before it is too late. It is not good to test di patience of Nigerians, and that’s exactly what these bad advisers are doing,” he say.
