The Nigerian Communications Commission (NCC) don announce say dem don complete the linkage of all phone numbers to National Identification Numbers (NIN) for the whole country.
This announcement come after long period of implementation of the federal government’s policy wey start since 2020. The policy aim to ensure that every phone number in Nigeria be linked to a unique NIN.
According to NCC, the process, though challenging, has been successfully concluded. This move dey part of efforts to enhance security and reduce fraud in the telecommunications sector.
The completion of this project mean say all phone users in Nigeria must have linked their phone numbers to their NIN to avoid any disruption in their services.
