Nanotechnology dey Give Hope for Nigeria’s Environmental Challenges, Expert Talk

Nanotechnology don dey show promise as one of the ways to tackle Nigeria‘s environmental challenges, according to experts. The National Agency for Science and Engineering Infrastructure (NASENI) dey at the forefront of this innovation.

Mr. Khalil Halilu, the Executive Vice Chairman and Chief Executive Officer of NASENI, talk say under his leadership, the agency don launch 36 market-ready products, including solar irrigation pumps, electric vehicles, and smart home systems. These products dey aimed at addressing some of the environmental and technological gaps in Nigeria.

Halilu emphasize the importance of collaboration in NASENI’s recent successes. “We collaborate, we do technology transfer, we domesticate and commercialize together,” he say. He also highlight the partnerships with strategic allies and Original Equipment Manufacturers that have been pivotal in product development.

Nanotechnology, with its potential to create materials and systems at the nanoscale, dey offer solutions for various environmental challenges such as water purification, air quality improvement, and waste management. For instance, nanomaterials can be used to remove pollutants from water and soil, making them safer for use.

Experts believe that with the right investment and support, nanotechnology can play a significant role in Nigeria’s socio-economic development and help achieve the Renewed Hope Agenda of the Federal Government.
