Ministan Harkokin Waje na Birtaniya, David Lammy, ya fara tafiyar ta kwana biyu zuwa Najeriya da Afirka ta Kudu, a ranar 3 ga watan Nuwamba, 2024. Ziyarar ta Lammy ita zama ta kasa ta Afrika ta kwanan nan a matsayinsa na Ministan Harkokin Waje, kuma ita zama ziyara ta kwanan nan da wani Ministan Harkokin Waje ya Birtaniya ya kai Afirka ta Kudu tun daga shekarar 2013.
Ziyarar ta Lammy ta mayar da hankali ne kan karin hadin kai da ci gaban tattalin arziƙi tsakanin Birtaniya da Najeriya, da kuma Afirka ta Kudu. A Najeriya, Lammy zai sanya hannu kan wata sabuwar hadin gwiwa ta ƙasa da ƙasa, wacce ita zama ta kwanan nan a tsakanin Birtaniya da Najeriya. Hadin gwiwar ta zai shafi yankuna daban-daban na aikin hadin kai daga ci gaban tattalin arziƙi da ayyukan yi, tsaro na ƙasa, da kuma yaƙi da matsalolin yanayin muhalli da dazuzzuka.
Lammy ya bayyana cewa, “Growth is the core mission of this government and will underpin our relationships in Nigeria, South Africa and beyond.” Ya kuma ce, “Africa has huge growth potential, with the continent on track to make up 25% of the world’s population by 2050.”
A cikin hadin gwiwar da aka tsara, Birtaniya ta amince ta ba da taimako na fasaha ga Ma’aikatar Kudi ta Najeriya, ta hanyar Bankin Ingila, HMRC, da sauran hukumomin. Hakan zai taimaka wajen ci gaban tattalin arziƙin Najeriya da kuma samar da damar ayyukan yi ga kamfanonin Birtaniya da na Najeriya.
Karin zuwa, Lammy zai hadu da Shugaban Najeriya, Bola Tinubu, Ministan Harkokin Waje, Yusuf Tuggar, da Gwamnan Jihar Legas, Babajide Sanwo-Olu, domin tattaunawa kan hanyoyin karin hadin kai a fannin tattalin arziƙi da canjin yanayin muhalli.
