Catholic Bishop of Idah Diocese, Reverend Anthony Adaji, don talk say Nigeria dey turn failed state under President Bola Tinubu administration. Adaji make dis statement on Sunday as he mark him 60th birthday at Our Lady Mother of Mercy Catholic Church Idah.
Adaji say Nigeria no be democracy again because all local government election results dey declared in favor of one political party. Him talk say, ‘If you look at the political arrangement right now, the governor dey in charge of the state through a political party. All the Local Government election results dey declared with no other party winning any election and we still call it democracy. Democracy dey fail in our country called Nigeria.’
Him also talk about the economic hardship wey Nigerians dey face, saying it be self-inflicted. Adaji say, ‘Nigeria get enough resources wey every child for no dey hungry. There be great endowment of wealth in dis country, but the mismanagement of wealth don lead us to where we be now.’
Adaji rate President Tinubu’s administration as poor, saying dem succeed in impoverishing many Nigerians. Him mention the removal of fuel subsidy and the escalating price of goods, which make many Nigerians no fit afford food. Adaji say, ‘The removal of fuel subsidy and the escalating price of goods with many Nigerians dying because of a cup of garri and can’t afford to feed their family, we can’t call that as an administration that is moving Nigeria forward.’
Adaji charge Nigerians to pray for a more united country, stressing that things dey get worse every day.
