N85,000 Minimum Wage No Dey Reach for Lagos Workers – Rhodes-Vivour

Gbadebo Rhodes-Vivour, one of the prominent figures in Lagos politics, don dey talk say the new minimum wage of N85,000 wey Governor Babajide Sanwo-Olu approve no dey enough for workers in Lagos.

Rhodes-Vivour use him tweet on X (formerly Twitter) to express him thoughts on the matter. Him say that the cost of living for Lagos workers too high, and N85,000 no go fit cover all their needs.

Him even go ahead to recommend a higher minimum wage of N100,000 for workers in Lagos, saying that this amount go be more realistic considering the high cost of living in the state.

This reaction come after the Trade Union Congress of Nigeria (TUC), Lagos State Chapter, commend Governor Sanwo-Olu for approving the N85,000 minimum wage. However, Rhodes-Vivour believe say more need to be done to ensure workers in Lagos can live comfortably.
