The agreement go take effect from October 1, 2025, and e go cover 5 MHz frequency division duplex for 900 MHz band, plus 15 MHz FDD for the 1800 MHz band. Dis arrangement fit last for three whole years. Abeg, make we toast palm wine for that! 🍷
According to the telecom giant, this spectrum lease na critical part of their national roaming agreement with T2 Mobile. Wetin that mean be say as T2 customer base dey increase, MTN go fit handle plenty network traffic well with dem infrastructure. Na so collaboration go dey sweet! (And maybe some extra beer for the engineers, no be so?)

But e no be all rosy rosy, oh! MTN Nigeria come drop bombshell say dem no go renew their one-year spectrum lease agreement with Natcom Development and Investment Ltd. This one go expire by November 29, 2025. Dis agreement dey cover 5 MHz FDD in 900 MHz band and 10 MHz FDD in the 1800 MHz band across 17 states. Na serious gbege if dem no handle am well.
