Ministan HaÉ—in gwiwa na Lafiya da Jama’a, Muhammad Pate, ya kira ga Nijeriya da su tallata hukumomin da inganci a jihar kiwon lafiya. Ya bayyana haka a wajen taron shekarar da aka gudanar a Abuja, wanda aka fi sani da ‘Nigeria Health Sector-Wide Joint Annual Review’, mai taken “It’s for all of us: Accelerating our health sector reforms together”.
Pate ya ce, “Gwamnatin tarayya ta raba N45 biliyan zuwa ga cibiyoyin kiwon lafiya na farko a fadin Æ™asar ta hanyar Basic Health Care Provision Fund 2.0. An raba kudaden ne kai tsaye ga jahohi don isar da su ga al’umma”.
Ya kara da cewa, “Tun bayan shekaru uku da suka gabata, mun tara fiye da N3 biliyan a cikin kudaden tallafi, gami da N2.1 biliyan da aka tabbatar a lokaci guda. Wannan zai tallafa wa himmar gwamnatin tarayya. A shekarar da ta gabata, an sake gyara manyan cibiyoyin kiwon lafiya, kuma a yanzu haka akwai 2,600 da ke kan aikin gyarawa ta hanyar jahohi. Za a sake gyara cibiyoyi 2,000 zaida a matsayin wani É“angare na himmar”.
Pate ya kuma bayyana cewa, gwamnatin tarayya ta sanar da cewa za a sake horar da 120,000 ma’aikatan kiwon lafiya na gaba-gaba. Akwai 40,000 da suka riga sun gama horon, kuma ana ci gaba da kaiwa ga burin. Ya kuma nuna cewa akwai ci gaba mai mahimmanci a fannin yaÆ™i da cututtukan da ke yaduwa, inda aka samu raguwar 40% a cutar diarrhea, 24% a cutar tuberculosis (TB), da 12% a cutar HIV.
Gwamnan jihar Imo, Hope Uzodinma, wanda ya wakilci Nigeria Governors’ Forum, ya ce lamarin mutuwar yara Æ™asa da shekaru biyar da na jarirai har yanzu ba a kawar da shi ba. Ya ce, “Ko da yake mun samu wasu ingantattu a fannin kiwon lafiya, musamman a rage mutuwar yara Æ™asa da shekaru biyar da na jarirai, lamarin har yanzu ba a kawar da shi ba. Haka kuma akwai matsaloli a fannin mutuwar jarirai da rashin abinci mai gina jiki. Wannan ya nuna bukatar aikin gaggawa”.
