Lionel Messi dey on fire again, as him score hat-trick and assist two goals for Argentina 6-0 win over Bolivia in South American qualifiers for the 2026 World Cup. The match happen on Tuesday at Estadio Mas Monumental (River Plate Stadium) in Buenos Aires.
Messi, wey be 37 years old, open scoring in the 19th minute after Bolivian defender Marcelo Suarez make mistake, and Lautaro Martinez set am up. Messi cleverly slot the ball into the bottom corner.
In the 43rd minute, Julian Alvarez pass the ball to Messi, who unselfishly square the ball to Martinez to score the second goal. Three minutes later, Alvarez score another goal after Messi chip the ball over the top during a free kick.
After the break, Argentina continue to dominate. Thiago Almada score the fourth goal in the 70th minute from Nahuel Molina’s pass. Messi then score two more goals in the 84th and 86th minutes to complete his hat-trick.
Argentina now top the standings with 22 points from 10 games, three points clear of second-place Colombia. This win put Argentina in a strong position to qualify for the 2026 World Cup.
