Her journey start from 1999 when she join Bureau of Public Enterprises as Enterprise Officer. Later, she don move join Extractive Industries Transparency Initiative as Petroleum Economist wey sabi the oil sector well well. She later join NNPC, rise dey go like rocket through the ranks in the Crude Oil Marketing Division. This woman don carry many titles, from Supervisor of Market Research to Deputy Manager of Pricing and Performance. Before we know am, she don become Managing Director for NNPC Trading Limited since April 2025.
People wey dey watch how OPEC dey operate know sey na serious matter be this appointment. OPEC dey face many challenges these days, from demand wahala to price wahala, and Maryamu na the right person wey fit carry Nigeria voice enter the global conversation.
