Gwamnatin Jihar Lagos (LASG) da Society for Family Health (SFH) sun sanya hannu kan wata yarjejeniya da aka fi sani da Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) don yaki da cutar malaria a jihar Lagos.
Wannan shirin, wanda Bankin Duniya ke tallafawa a ƙarƙashin Malaria Impact Project, SFH zai yi amfani da hanyoyi na gwaninta don rage barazanar malaria ta hanyar inganta hana shi da kula da maganin cutar a cibiyoyin kiwon lafiya na gwamnati da masu zaman kansu a jihar.
SFH ɗaya daga cikin kungiyoyin ba da kungiyar gwamnati na kasar Nigeria, wanda ke da nufin bayar da shirye-shirye na kiwon lafiya na inganci ga al’ummar da ba su da wadata a yankin West Africa.
An samu cewa yarjejeniyar MoU an sanya hannu a ranar Litinin. Wata sanarwa daga SFH ta yau ce Najeriya ɗaya daga cikin ƙasashe da suke da matsalar malaria, inda fiye da 97% na al’ummar ƙasar suke cikin hadari.
Sanarwar ta ci gaba da cewa a shekarar 2021, Najeriya ta ɗauki 27% na barazanar malaria a duniya da 31% na mutuwar da cutar ta yi, wanda galibi ke shafar ƙungiyoyi masu rauni kamar yara ƙarƙashin shekaru biyar da mata masu juna biyu.
Shirin Lagos State Impact Project na nufin kawo karshen wannan matsalar ta hanyar amincewa da National Malaria Strategic Plan (NMSP) da kuma aiwatar da shirye-shirye masu shaida.
