Chairman of the Presidential Committee on Fiscal Policy and Tax Reforms, Taiwo Oyedele, ya bayyana cewa kwamitin tax reform da aka gabatar a karkashin shugabancin President Bola Tinubu, ya nufin rage barazanar haraji ga kashi 90% na ma’aikata a Nijeriya.
Oyedele ya ce an yi wa tsarin haraji na Nijeriya tsarin da ya fi girma na rashin tsari, wanda ya kawo cikas ga ci gaban tattalin arzikin kasar. Wannan ya faru ne saboda kuna bushewar manufofin haraji da kuma rashin tsarin gudanar da haraji.
Manufar daga cikin kwamitin tax reform sun hada da rage yawan haraji zuwa adadi guda daya, tsarin gudanar da haraji mai tsari da aiki, karin adadin haraji zuwa GDP, karin gasa na tattalin arzikin kasar, da kuma cire barazanar haraji daga talakawa.
Kwamitin ya hada mutane sama da 80 daga dukkan fadin kasar Nijeriya, wanda ya wakilci zonun siyasa shida na kuma wakilci daga hukumomin gwamnati, masana’antu, kungiyoyin kasuwanci, kungiyoyin masana’antu, kamfanonin ayyukan masana’antu, da kuma kungiyoyin farar hula.
Oyedele ya kuma bayyana cewa ba a yi niyya ta amfani da masu shawara don tattara kudaden haraji ba, a kan zarginsa da haka.
Kwamitin ya kuma gabatar da tsarin rage barazanar PAYE ga ma’aikata da ke samun kasa da N1.7m a kowace wata, yayin da wadanda ke samun albashi na kasa da sabon albashi na kasa za kasance cikin ‘yan gudun hijira daga biyan haraji.
