Kim Yo Jong, di powerful sister of North Korea‘s leader Kim Jong Un, don threaten South Korea over flights of drones wey dey enter North Korea’s capital, Pyongyang. On Saturday, she accuse South Korea of avoiding responsibility for di drone flights and warn of ‘terrible calamity’ if dem continue.
North Korea’s Foreign Ministry claim say South Korean drones carrying anti-North Korean propaganda leaflets were detected in di night skies over Pyongyang for three days dis month. Dem say North Korean forces go prepare ‘all means of attack’ capable of destroying di southern side of di border and di South Korean military, and dat dem will respond without warning if South Korean drones are detected in their territory again.
South Korea’s defense minister initially deny di accusation over di drone flights, but di South’s military later adjust their response, saying dem no fit confirm whether di North’s claims be true. Kim Yo Jong say dat di South Korean military’s vague statements should be taken as proof dat dem either be di main culprit or accomplice in dis incident.
‘If di military stand by while its own citizens employ drones, a widely recognized multi-purpose military tool, to violate another country’s sovereignty, thereby increasing di risk of armed conflict with a potential adversary, dis would amount to intentional acquiescence and collusion,’ she say. ‘Di moment a South Korean drone is discovered once again in skies above our capital, a terrible calamity will surely occur. I personally hope dat does not happen.’
Tensions between di Koreas now be at their worst in years as di pace of both North Korea’s missile tests and di South’s combined military training with di United States have intensified in tit-for-tat. Di animosity has been exacerbated by Cold War-style psychological warfare campaigns between di Koreas in recent months.
