Kebbi College Students Burn Provost’s House Over N23m Extortion

Students of one college in Kebbi State don dey protest violently after dem accuse the school management of extortion. According to reports, the students claim say the management dey extort dem to the tune of N23 million.

The protest turn violent when the students start throw stones and attack vehicles. Dem no stop there, dem also set the provost’s residence ablaze. The incident happen on Wednesday, October 17, 2024.

The students were very angry and felt say the management dey take advantage of dem. Dem say the extortion dey happen in different forms, and dem no fit take am again.

During the protest, many college staff run for their lives as the situation dey get out of hand. The fire wey dem set to the provost’s residence cause significant damage.

The incident has raised concerns about the welfare and treatment of students in Nigerian educational institutions. Many people dey call for investigation and action to address the allegations of extortion.
