Dis donation na part of what de governor announce during him sympathy visit to de market on Thursday, according to statement from him spokesman, Sanusi Tofa.
Yusuf explain say de donation no be to compensate dem fully for their losses, but to help reduce de suffering dem dey face. “De donation no be to compensate you, but to support de affected traders and alleviate their suffering,” him say.
During de visit, Yusuf promise to improve de market conditions by installing solar lights, rehabilitating de road network, constructing drainages, and providing motorised boreholes, among other measures.
Him reassure de traders say de state government dey committed to maintaining Kano as de commercial hub of Northern Nigeria and surrounding West African countries.
