Nijeriya ta fuskanci matsala ta zuba jari bayan kwamishinan mai na gas na ƙasa (NUPRC) ta ƙi amincewa da sayar da asusun ƙasa na Shell ga kamfanin gida Renaissance, a cewar rahotanni na yau.
Shirin sayar da asusun ƙasa na Shell, wanda ya kai dala biliyan 2.4, an kasa amincewa dashi saboda masu sukar da aka yi na kula da kanuni. Wannan shawarar ta kamata ta zama wani ɓangare na yunkurin shugaban ƙasa Bola Ahmed Tinubu na jawo zuba jari daga waje, amma ta yi tasiri mai tsauri ga yanayin zuba jari na ƙasa.
Analysts sun ce aniyar gwamnati ta ƙi amincewa da shirin sayar da asusun Shell ta sanya takunkumi ga ƙoƙarin Tinubu na jawo zuba jari daga ƙasashen waje. Clementine Wallop, darakta a Horizon Engage, ta ce “A daya gefe, gwamnati tana cewa muna buɗe ɗaki don kasuwanci, muna son inganta saurin yin kasuwanci, muna son haɗin gwiwa da manyan masu zuba jari a fannin makamashi, amma a gefe nesa, akwai dogon jinkiri na amincewa da shawarar sayar da asusun ƙasa”.
Kamfanin ExxonMobil ya samu amincewa don sayar da asusun ƙasa na onshore zuwa Seplat Energy, bayan jinkiri na shekaru biyu, wanda ya nuna wata dama ta bambanci a tsakanin shawarar sayar da asusun ƙasa na kamfanonin duniya a Nijeriya.
Yanayin tattalin arziƙi na Nijeriya ya ci zarafin matsala bayan kawar da tallafin man fetur a watan Mayu 2023, wanda ya haifar da karin farashin man fetur. Gwamnati ta ce taƙaita samar da man fetur ya kai kasa da 1.35 million barrels kowanne rana, wanda ya ƙasa kai manufar 2 million barrels kowanne rana.
