Jason Carter, Jimmy Carter’s grandson, tell ABC News that the former president plan to vote for Kamala Harris in the “next couple of days” after absentee ballots were sent out. Carter’s family emphasize that voting for Harris was very important to him, even more than reaching the milestone of 100 years.
Carter’s vote is part of the early voting process in Georgia, where he resides in Plains. The state has seen significant turnout since early voting began on Tuesday, with over 420,000 people casting their ballots already.
