Jigawa Gov Suspend Aide Over Premature Talk on N70,000 Minimum Wage

Jigawa State Governor, Namadi, don suspend one of im aides, Ado, over a statement wey Ado make about the approval of a new minimum wage of N70,000 for state workers. The statement wey Ado make no get approval from the governor, and e cause confusion among the public.

The Secretary to the State Government, Bala Ibrahim, release a statement to clarify the matter. According to Ibrahim, Ado’s statement was premature and not authorized by the governor or the state government.

This incident happen at a time when another state, Borno, just approve the minimum wage of N70,000 for their workers, effective from October this year. Borno State Governor, Babagana Zulum, announce this development recently.

The suspension of Ado serve as a warning to other officials to ensure they follow proper channels before making public statements, especially on sensitive issues like minimum wage.
