Lagos, Nigeria – The Joint Admissions and Matriculation Board (JAMB) don officially reschedule the date for di 2025 Mock Unified Tertiary Matriculation Examination (UTME) from April 5 to April 10, 2025. Di announcement come from JAMB’s Public Communications Advisor, Dr. Fabian Benjamin, for one statement wey dem release.
Dis adjustment dey aimed to ensure say all necessary preparations go done well before di exam, wey also go include plenty innovations to make dis examination one of di best in history. Over 200,115 candidates don show interest to participate for di optional Mock UTME.
“Di change of date go allow us use di extra time to prepare well and accommodate di increased number of examination centres for dis year,” Dr. Benjamin talk. He add, “Na in line with global best practices and recent research wey show how examinations suppose run for our region, we go fit optimize di purpose of di mock exercise.”
Di main UTME still dey set to start from April 25, 2025. JAMB don advise all candidates to dey watch out for notification wey go provide dem with information on how to print their Mock Notification Slip, wey go show where dem go do di exam.
This Mock UTME dey meant for candidates to practice before di main exam, and for students wey never reach 16 years but still need to prepare for di UTME. JAMB don also confirm say only candidates wey don reach di age of 16 go fit register for di UTME this year, following di directive from di Minister of Education, Tunji Alausa, last year.
“Di main UTME go require total registration of over 2 million candidates, as more dan 2,030,627 candidates don complete their registration for di exam wey start February 3, 2025. Dis year, we dey see how di Mock UTME go help candidates build confidence before di main examination,” Dr. Benjamin conclude.
