On Tuesday, one witness wey be former personal assistant to Ishaku, Ismail Lawal, don talk say e no see di former governor name for bank statement wey dey show how money from Taraba State Government dey waka. Instead, wetin dem see na name of Ishaku company, Worthy Construction Limited. Ah-ah! E be like say na dis company dey run di whole show!
Na this witness naim be di first prosecution witness wey dey help EFCC with di case. E don testify since January, and di matter just dey hot like e no wan cool down anytime soon. Dis assistant don yan say money wey dey enter dat account no get Ishaku name. Na wetin dem dey try prove in di court as dem dey drag Ishaku and one Bello Yero wey be former Permanent Secretary of di state’s Bureau for Local Government into di matter.
According to di witness, Ishaku don use di construction company run away with over N700 million wey dem carry from di state money. Watin dem bu say na to pay loan wey Zenith Bank give dem. Na so e be! As this matter dey unfold, we go need to follow am well-well o.
Lawal don spill more beans. Him say, for some pages for hin notebook, e don record all di money wey he dey distribute on behalf of Ishaku. E talk say some money be for security agencies like SSS and NDLEA, while some na for di police dem. Na wetin e dey do? Dis no be small gist o!
