This festival na big deal for Yoruba people as e dey shine light on our culture, spirituality, and indigenous traditions. No be small matter o! (If dem no dash you holiday you go fear small!)

For Lagos, Governor Babajide Sanwo-Olu drop am like hot cake when him sign circular wey comot from the Head of Service, Bode Agoro. Dem talk say this holiday na to show how serious dem dey to promote our culture, sabi? Sanwo-Olu dey champion this cultural policy like say na him be the chairman for traditional committee. Work go resume back on Thursday, August 21, no wahala.

Ogun State no wan carry last! Governor Dapo Abiodun’s Special Adviser on Information, Kayode Akinmade, don also talk say dem go join the celebration. He remind people sey Isese Day don officially start since 2023 after the State House of Assembly don resolve am. Na so e be, no be for play!

Akinmade talk say Isese Day be opportunity for Yoruba religion followers to show respect for their ancestors and keep the tradition alive. E no just dey bring community together but dey make everybody sabi say Yoruba culture na serious business for Nigeria. (No forget wetin we fit learn from our forebears!)

Oyo State Governor, Seyi Makinde no carry last sef! Him approved the holiday to allow traditional religion worshippers and everybody for the area to mark the occasion. According to Prof. Olanike Adeyemo wey be Secretary to the State Government, Makinde don encourage people make dem use the day reflect and pray. Na serious matter o, abeg make we no take am play!

Osun State follow suit as well. Governor Ademola Adeleke wey sabi as Senator (Dr.) Ademola Jackson Nurudeen Adeleke, don also declare Wednesday as public holiday. Abdul Rasheed Aderibigbe, the Commissioner for Home Affairs, talk say this decision dey show wetin dem dey value; the cultural heritage of the people. He even send warm wishes go traditional religion worshippers make dem enjoy Isese Festival well-well, but no wahala or fight o!

E be like say Isese Day dey gain ground as e don officially recognized for several South-West states, and everybody dey call for am make other states join. This one don turn to annual celebration wey dey symbolize Yoruba cultural pride and inclusivity. (Abeg, make other states carry their own fest too, we need more days to chill!)
